i was wanting to use a lipo for my reciever on my nitro buggy and monster trucks and suggestions and would 7.4 volt hurt anything im now using 6 volt 5 hump packs

You will have problems with the servos, for sure. You need a regulator to drop the voltage to at least 6V.
