JPerrone -> Lower voltage battery for Mini T (4/20/2008 11:17:03 AM)

I am trying to teach the 7 yr old how to control an R/C car, and one of the ones we are using is a Mini T. I'd like to limit the speed a bit. On a programmable transmitter, I'd just reduce the range of motion on the throttle, but the Losi controller does not have that. So I was thinking of putting together a lower voltage battery.

Has anyone ever done this? Any limits/issues with minimum voltage, MAH, type battery?

Thanks and regards

I wouldn't go below 4 cells (4.8volts) or you may have issues with radio reception. Doesn't the Mini-T come with a battery holder for four AA batteries? 4 AA would probably be your best bet for a slower, more manageable drive.
