How do you determine the best size ESC to use with a given BL motor? Just what does the KV (rpm per volt) mean in
practical terms? The motor I was looking at was 2700KV max constant current 28A, max surge current 50A. Constant watts
518W and surge watts, 925W.
Can you use an ESC that has less rated amps that the surge amps of the motor, and why is that?

Thanks,
Don

Try asking this in the power systems section.
