Does anyone know of a PBY Catalina Kit available? NOT AN ARF .... a kit. Seems hard to find many kits anymore esp one of the Catalina. I am open to any size but preferable in the 60 - 80 inch wingspan range. My plan is to build it electric but Im not completely sure about that yet either.

Looks like this is right up your alley: http://www.rcairplane.net/index1.html . It IS a kit and not an ARF. You can build it as scale or stand off scale as you want.

Another option is Jack Bales plans for an 80" span PBY. Its designed to build very light but obviously much more work than the kit mentioned above. I've also seen plans on eBay for a PBY in the ~65-70" span.

I just found out that Jack died several years ago. Is someone else carrying his plans now?

If you are interested in building from plans, Vintage R/C plans has a set of plans for this plane. Here is a link to there site http://vintagercplans.com/order.htm I believe these are the original Sid Morgan plans.
