anymore for camping as we will need to book soon

just been re-reading the insurance side of things and for them to recognise us as a club and allow for non members to participate we need to set up a "paper" commitee ie president, seceratry, treasurer and the like at least 5 paying (insurance wise) members so the BMFA can affiliate us to them and grant us the insurance

So who wants to be EL PRESIDENTY ,CHAIRPERSON MAO ,ALISTAIR DARLING and 2 others i cant think of at the mo

Let me have your votes

Rob

CHAIRPERSON MAO seems a good title. I pity the fool that gets ALISTAIR DARLING. There is always Kim Jung Il and Che Guevara.

Don't we only need insurance from the BMFA if we are using BB's. I'm sure we wouldn't need insurance if we were just using IR and battle systems.

No way I'm being anyones darling LOL

technically the police could confiscate anyone for using BBs as they are illegalish
the insurance is there for your protection say for instance your tank lost all senses and drove across a main road and then caused a 7 car pile-up well you get my drift
as much as i agree and dont see much point to it either i for one would rather lose £14 a year
than my house and car

plus you would also be covered if you went by yourself to the local park and ran over poor little johnny and his pals

hope this helps

Kind regards Rob

Hi Guys As regards campsite this one http://www.wareham-forest.co.uk/ seems to have all we need even a forest to have a battle in it has electric for recharging but most important of all it has a BAR the only draw back there is a mention on the web site no naked flames not sure if this means BBQs.Its about 3 miles from Bovington so will have to have beer on return from Bovington .The prices seem resonable .If you are in agreement with this site I will contact them and ask if we can have a battle there and if BBQs are allowed and ask if we can have a discount for block booking .Dose this sound O.K to you guys will need to know how many are camping.

best regards pete

seems like a good place, i say we should take the opportunity and go their - make our minds up so we are not last minute planning and messing stuff up. mabe you could ask for a small area of land instead of us paying seperatly for us all to stay in? and in that pay a price as a whole group? then we can be near each other, put our tents and caravans (whichever) together to for a basecamp from where we can return to after our battles! also then we will be able more easily to see where we are and not get lost! (well i may anyway!)!

cheers, just a thought though!

Matt

Pete that campsite is good for me

after reading the site rules it looks like no open fires/barbecues in the woodland section only

Hi pete thanks for doing that and i reckon we have 10 campers (hi-de-hi) and approx 20 day trippers/locals does that sound good

If they have a spare bit of ground room enough for all to attend then that would be great
and don't worry about the "hi we would like to come to your campsite and play with our tanks " it doesn't sound silly at all LOL

many thanks

Rob
