Hi Rob,
Thanks for the PM. At the moment I'm going to be taking a HL PZIII and a Tamiya Sherman. I don't think I'll be running the PZIII. As for the Sherman that's 40mhz and will have a Tamiya Battle System installed. I'll also be taking a few pairs of 40mhz crystals if required.
I was hoping for a couple more Uk geezers to jump on the list. However 15 of us is still a very good result.
I suppose the time has come to start thinking of a name for our Battle Group, what do you think ?.

All the best pal.

Nick.

Nice one nick glad to have you aboard [)]
I think this is going to be one good day out /Weekend
At the moment it seem's by the reply's and PM's we are at a rate of 50/50 on those that are running battle systems and those that don't.
Which to me isn't a problem as for everybody to turn up and have a damn good day out is all that matters
whether you battle or not[)]
or just run your pride and joy through the nearest puddle

I have spoken to phil AKA Blitzkrieg and he is offering a discount on the DBU for those of us going to bovington So if anyone is interested let me know[)]

As to a name for Us well ive got to admit i havent even thought about it
I think I'll pass that over to you guys and see what goes what do you think[)]

regards rob

Hello Gentlemen. Just checked in on the UK tank club thread and thank goodness the dates for Bovington are still good for me. As for staying on a site I think it's great idea. I see that a name is wanted for the club as most of us have yet to meet in the flesh so to speak I was thinking along the lines of somthing like the VRTC or virtual reality tankers club ( add one wicked logo to set off the acronim and Bob's your Uncle ). My thinking behind this name is that a lot of people from all over will be contributing to diffrent threads but meetings will be limited due to distance, work and family commitments. I would also like to think that some people will set up local clubs in there areas if enough like minded people start comunicating on forums like these, which is in essence a virtual reality club. I think I will push off now as the wine is going to my head and I am starting to talk drivel. Looking forward to puting faces to names. All the best for now
Alan

I still have all of my camping gear, but would rather use a caravan, cos it has it's own shower and kitchen

I like the idea of the VRTC name
could also be adapted for the smaller areas IE NVRTC (northern virtual reality tankers club) and SVRTC
as in like a sub division of the main group
will let others comment be we decide which one but many thanks for starting the ball rolling and I'm sure more will chime in [)]
