Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to servos. I would use any servo with over 8KG of torque for steering, which may seem like not that much to some people, but I prefer higher speeds rather than torque. Some people use the same servo in throttle and steering as its easier to keep spares for both (you only need one, unlike one spare of each). And alot of people only use analogue servos in throttle as digitals drain too much power and it can be easy to fry them by keeping them in one position straining for too long (failsafe, or incorrectly set end points). I personally use Sanwa servos as they seem to last a long time and are relatively easy for me to pick up. I know alot of the USA guys use airtronics. But here is some advice - don't blow your hole budget on the car, radio gear and engine. You will still need after you have bought all of that a personal transponder, INS filter (depending on the track), starter box, 12V charger, tyre truer, power supply, tyres, bodyshells, setup station, new tools etc. These things can mount up pretty quickly.
