I made this thread for the Evolva. It's my future onroad and the time is approaching. [:D]

So, first things first. I change the "crisis" time because i manage to gather the money faster than i expected. Second, i made a list of the things i'm going to buy with the Kit. The list is the following:

Kyosho Evolva M3
OS VZ-R engine + speed exhaust
Futaba 4PK 2.4 Ghz

2x Hitec Servos (don't know exactly yet, that's why i made this thread)
Body, wheels, etc

I don't know about the Evolva's price yet. I think it might be at 700 - 800 euros in my country. The Futaba 4PK is 460 euros. And the engine must be at 250-300 euros. Only these three rise the price at 1410 - 1560. Pretty crazy hah? [:D]

About the servos, that's the reason why this thread exist.

It's a shame that Gynaikas went for easter holidays but whatever. I'll just hear other opinions.

So, the KIT, the engine and the radio are official. Now, i want to ask about the servos. What servos i would put? I saw a picture in Google which i can see the throttle-brake servo. Look at the picture below:

That servo has a speed of .13 in 6V and a torque of 15,6 kg at 6V.

Is that too much or do i need more torgue and speed also?

hey osiris, for the steering servo, you need a high torque, because these 1/8ths arent the lightest things out there, for the throttle, get the fastest one you can find. Futaba's brushless servos are awesome, i hear. Good luck with the car, but i have a question, you wouldnt be able to find the car online, and buy it from an american dealer, for about 200 euro cheaper?

Well, i don't have a credit card and i'm not an online guy [:D] I prefer buying it from my dealer anyway. The prices are good. The Futaba 4PK is just 50 euro more expensive than that of America's. AND if i have ever a problem with my radio, i know where i must go. Electronics only HERE. About the KIT, well, that's me [8|]

Oh, i forgot to tell you. I can put ONLY Hitec servos on it, and don't ask me why. [8|]

Thats a heck of alot of money man. Thats something like 2500 bucks all up !!

I found my guy. Almost all of this guys stuff is same price as if I bought online from the USA. I know what it feels like getting ripped off but no more [:D]

Seriously if you dont have a credit card do you have a bank account ? Open up a Paypal account do it that way. I dont know for sure but ill hazard a guess and say you could buy the evolva online from the US for something like 6-7 hundreds bucks. Bucks is dollar re not euros. Add a 150 or so for shipping. Think of all the accessories and stuff you could have for the money you save, even another car.

Anyway, congratulations on the new car. I got one today too. Not an Evolva, but a different 1/8 touring car. Dont know what sort .. theres a thread going to work it out [:)]

I know re my grandparents used to be a bit like that. What can you do uh.

Im not to sure exactly man. Its from a manufacturer called X**. X something. I cant remember what the seller told me. He said the design was based on the Serpent, using interchangeable parts. Here is some pics, if you can imagine which manufacturer might make it with a name like what I said please enlighten me

Its the XR80 made in Taiwan and is a copy of the Serpent 960. It was remarketed by Protech and is now being sold through Power racing.

I had one. Its a nice car for bashing but the Evolva is faster

wow osiris i guese i will see you sooner down the track. also about your radio why not get the Kopropo Helios EX-10, with some spectrum technology?? you can find everything from nicosia. also how fast is your engine that you are talking about??? i am telling you this because you will be against novarossi, mega and max engines....pretty tough competition, and i think there is no more intrermidiate group, just expert.

No problem. The engine is not the best of course. After i rip down this engine, i will buy either a Novarossi either a Sirio. The price is the same ALMOST. [)] As for see me sooner, i don't know, i must find a guy who can take me up there. [8|] This driving license in Cyprus SUCKS!!![:@]

the novarossi costed me 400 euro with exaust and filter, and the Helios 310 euros(tx only and spectrum)

Futaba's my pick as well, but for everything else, its KO Propo all the way, on my electric, the esc is a ko propo, and its top of the line

yeah. Hey osiris, im almost done with my 1/12th racer as well, but im buying as i get the money, not splurging all at once, lol. I dont think my parents would be too happy with my receipt of $1500, its better off for me going once a week and picking something up. So far, i bought the car, the esc, the receiver, the servo, and the tires. All i need is a motor, batteries, and a charger, and then all the add ons like the body and stuff. looking forward to june as well buddy.

I know what you mean. I thought that if i buy each thing in different weeks, it will seem cheap, BUT on the other hand, if i buy all those things once, i will get a sure good discount PLUS that he will give me some kyosho "things" [:D]. Every time, i go to that LHS, he is ready to serve me (only 2 times [8|]). Of course, he doesn't look at me, but my wallet, right? [:D] I pay pure cash each time i go.

haha, me too. My hobby shop owner is really nice though, and helps me always, for the past 3 years. I didnt mean you, i meant im only paying $1500 for my car, im sure yours costs a lot more. [:D]
