Status: offline 		I've read that Drano crystals or Easy-Off oven cleaner works.

But there will be some bad fumes from doing this. Use gloves

and eye protection at least. Soak the parts for a few minutes

and then rinse in soapy water. Repete as necessary. Afterwards you

will have to polish with an aluminum polish.

Do a search for Drano. There's a lot of info on this.

Status: online 		I do know Easy-Off heavy duty original works great to remove it. Just soak the part for about 5-10 minutes then just rub off anodizing, use a q-tip for bolt holes. Reapply/resoak as needed. You will end up with a dull aluminum, white-ish in color. Depending on how far or what way you want to go, you can make the aluminum shine like a mirror in the sun.

Status: offline 		its not splocthy. Put some muscle in it and it comes right off. Then polish with some aluminum polish. Its that easy. I had it anodized red though.

Yeah, 1 time. I did mention using some muscle. It will get most of it off by spraying it on and letting it sit but if you dont want it blotchy scrub it with some rubber gloves on (strong sruff) and follow with a good aluminum polish and presto, anodize off.

Status: offline 		I've used Easy-Off sprayed in a normal ziploc bag with the part and sealed it up and swished it around through the bag. I found the blackish can be chased off the part that way by handing it.

It seems the easy-off only works for awhile on the anodizing when you first use it in the bag, then it seems to darken what it has stripped other than whats left. Starting over with a fresh bag and spray works better than letting it stay in the original slurry. I guess its safe to say a couple fresh applications work better than one good soak.

Wear gloves and dont breath it.

Status: offline 		i have used draino crystles with the best resoults. i also found the easy off to be slightly blochy and un-even. the draino worked way easer and was aeser to get a good polish out of it.

Status: online 		if you want to remove your stubborn annodise of without scrubbing , get a tub or half cut container and fill it up with heavy duty DE GREASER the concentrate kind , fill the container up with UN DILUTED de greaser and put all your parts in and leave them in there untill the color is all disolved off , it starts working straight away , and only takes off the color and leaves a smooth finish , then just take it out and polish them up .. DONT use oven cleaner as it eats the alluminium and leaves the surface blotchy and ROUGH
