Having a well used gmark .03 decided to clean her up.
The rod is similar to cox in that it uses a ball joint.
I noticed a fair amount of slop and was wondering if anyone has seen this wear and repaired thiers?

I can't put my fingers on my .020 reset tool right now but neither a .010 or .049 will fit.

What have others used?

Thanks Rob

RR, I think you could grind down a Cox .049 tool to fit.

Mine has a little slop, no worse than a typical Cox at the moment. It's got about 1:20 worth of run time so far. I need to clean it up as I landed it in a soft ball diamond on the last flight and the motor's inverted-carb eats up some real estate. I'll see if I can find my .020 tool and see what could be done to make it work. Might have two if you need one..

Anyone want a G-mark 030? I have one in good shape. It is lube locked, but was a pretty decent runner. Never crashed. It comes with a spinner and a spare G-mark prop and the tank mount and the backplate mount and the G-mark wrench.

The only small issue that this one ever had was that the throttle barrel grew a little sloppy in the carb body and would make the motor run a little lean. I think some careful sealing with an o-ring or perhaps some epoxy would fix it nicely.

I would let it go for 50 bucks plus shipping.

The cox .020 reset tool works very well. The Gmark piston is much harder and really requires a smart wack with a hammer before it tightens up.

I ran it up with a cox grey 4.5x2 and got 15,200 rpm does anyone else have any numbers for this engine?
Thanks ROb

Rob: can you run her up without the muffler and get some numbers? Memory tells me that mine responded well to that..

Well without the muffler I could peak at 18,600 but figured max running rpm around 18k.

As it was running it just vibrated the carb screw out and the throttle barrel out the side of the carb
