I've just brought a HL panzer 3 and now I haven't got any ideas on a colour scheme!
I have got a tiger 1 which is painted in a 44 normandy camo so it would be nice to have the P3 to match.
So onto my question.
Were there any Panzer 3's in normandy in 44 and if so, any ideas on colours?

I don't know this for sure, but I doubt there were any Pz IIIs in Normandy. I think production ended in mid 1943. However, you could do a cool eastern front scheme. I have seen alot of dark yellow and dark green combinations. Just wait a few days and one of the experts here will chime in and give you what you need.

You might want to post this in the main section. You'll get more hits.

The "search" feature is your friend. There were about 11 PZIIIs of various types around Normandy during and shortly after the invasion. 2 of them were rebuilt Ausf Fs and reside in the USA now, Aberdeen or Patton Museum, I forget which. There were 1 or 2 black and white photos, so go ahead and paint it the same and take some artistic license with the details! Enjoy and be sure to post pictures of the build too!
