It's common for the pot to go bad, and the gears to wear on the 86 and 8711. Once it starts, it's hard to stop. If you happen to have two of them together on a rudder, you can fool it by adjusting the sub trim on each servo. This sort of takes care of it for awhile, but the pot and gears don't get any better. I replaced one 8611a on my 102 rudder with a single 5955, and for my style of flying, it's working fine. I do a lot of slow to moderate freestyle and 3D, so it works for me. Good Luck Bob
