Anybody have experience with this fuel? I've used the 50/50 castor/synthetic blend Champion fuel and was thinking of going to all castor. Price seems decent also. Thinking of using the 10% Nitro. http://www.sigmfg.com/cgi-bin/dpsmart.exe/ProductsV5.html?L+Sig+pwvy7505+_Ddp_5fSearch1_02a41FuelSigChapAlCast_01Search_02Index_01SubMenu_02None_01Menu_02CatProd_01Thumb_02Fuel_20_2d_20Airplane_01

I've been running the Sig Champion 10% nitro, 20% oil 50/50 in just about all my engines for several years now. The only reason I would go to full castor would be for an iron piston steel cylinder engine like an old Fox, Enya, etc. On the other hand, I have an old Fox stunt 35 I bought in 1977 which has thousands of flights on it. In the old days I probably ran all castor. I have put around 100 flights on it with the 50/50 mix above, and see no signs of wear. First flip starts and reliable run. Knowledgable people will advise running 25 - 29% all castor in a Fox stunt 35.

I have begun using all castor lube in all my engines . Just a personal preference. My engines get a large amount of maintenance anyway and I clean and lube them before putting them away every time. I just find that they run smoother for me on all castor. I don't need all out performance just need my engines to run well forever. I don't do 3D or Heli's, just fun flying. A little extra cleanup is no big deal for me if I know my engines are being as well protected as possible. I have even started using FAI fuel in some of them. I'm not nitro phobic just the opposite, I run up to 30% in my 1/2A engines but I also use a lot of castor too.

Thanks guys. I think that I'm going to try a case of the 20% percent castor, 10% nitro fuel. Might get the 15% nitro though because I'm picking up a Saito here pretty shortly. I ran my other one on Powermaster 20/20 but you had to take a loan out to buy a case.

I live down the road from Sig so I stopped by and bought a case the other day. I have been having great luck with it in all my engines.I like the peace of mind of having all that lube and lean run protection. I am trying some different percentages in my different engines. Today I tried some 15% in my new ASP .12 and it made 18200 on a Master Airscrew 7X3. 52 mph and 2.3 lbs of thrust from a little .12. I can live with that. And it needled up easy and would start at part throttle. Liked a hot plug though, maybe it helps burn through the castor.
