Status: offline 		The Aero Modelers of Perrine (Miami, FL) will hold their first SPA/BPA Contest. THE SILVER PALM CLASSIC will be held the weekend of October 11th and 12th, 2008.

This will be a combination of SPA and BPA. Senior Pattern and Ballistic Pattern will fly head to head but will be divided into separate award classes. Florida Vintage Pattern Association style.

SPA Novice will be a fly what you want class. There will be no limit on engine or airplane size for this first contest. Subsequent contests may have the SPA restriction. I did not want to keep anyone from flying just because they do not have a .61/.91 size plane. Sportsman and Expert will be restricted to SPA rules. No pipes or retracts. Novice does not require SPA membership unless contestants’ points are used for national points. Sportsman and Expert must be SPA members.

BPA classes will be restricted to any plane designed and flown prior to 1996 with an engine up to 1.20 ci. Pipes and retracts are allowed.

Status: offline 		I hope to be retired by then so I plan to be there with my MK Arrow to fly BPA, maybe a Dirty Birdy to fly SPA.
I will bring the computer with the scoring program if you need it.

The event is going to happen but the date has changed.

It's now scheduled for NOVEMBER 1 & 2, 2008.

There was a scheduling conflict that forced the date change.
