Status: offline 		I finally decided what I wanted to make and it was the Bulldawg, but whata-sized...We took the 40 sized plans and created a little larger one.

It is powered with an Os 61 fx /12x8 prop and weighs too much in my opinion 6 lbs 10 oz. Its 40 inches wide and 34 inches long. The fuse is pvc and the body is 2 layers of 4 mill Corroplast cross fluted.

As far as the engine goes it was getting 12500 rpm's which seemed a little low but ran smooth at this setting. We tried 4 launches with each of them ending up with a turning left and then going down. It never made it more than about 8 feet in the air and no longer than 20 feet.

The real question here is, where did we go wrong?

Status: offline 		Rough eyeball glance says the CG should be about the middle of the canopy. I suspect yours might be nose heavy. This model should at least fly.
For better thrust, might try a 13x4 until you get it dialed in. For about the same amount of work but half the weight it is hard to beat a kite rod / balsa delta. For a .60 engine, 36" of span is plenty, but 40" should fly nicely.
