Anyone have any experiences with these engines (and pipes)?

yeah, just ask the guys at the top of the podium. they are basically the old ninja motors with new heads, crazy bottom, crazy middle and crazy top. you need a 6.5mm venturi to tame it a lot.

2053 pipe is specifically made for this engine. Is there any low budget pipe which is a good fit in terms power?

THey are NOT the same as an old ninja, they are vastly different inside, especially the crank, the hole in the back its alot smaller in diameter, they have a bit more grunt than a ninja aswell, ive been running one for the past couple months, great engine and consumption. Im using the 3009 pipe with long header. The 3009 is smoother than the 2053 (and yes i have both and have tried both) and has a bit better consumption.

I am so confused with the GRP .21 or the Jammin .21. Not sure which one to choose.

they are identical to the MR tuned Ninja...saying they are vastly different is not accurate at all.........

the MR FLS pipes will suck the power out of these motors pretty badly, run a 086 or 053 and you will see way more power then if you use any of the FLS pipes.....FLS pipes will lose about 25% of the motors power as compared to a 053

These GRP's are mellow motors, they are not crazy, nor do you need to use a 6.5 mm venturi.... someone is embellishing the story here big time..... the GRP's are not overly powerful ( especially with included FLS pipes) , they are smooth and linear and are known to be easy to drive............ if you think a GRP is brutal then go drive a P7R/JPX or a CL7B, as the GRP is one of the mildest easy to drive mills your going to find.......i love the GRP built engines, but they are known to be smooth and easy to drive, not known to be wild and uncontrollable like is being said here....

The GRP's are good and have great run time, however they will never keep up with my sirio cl7b sti engine. The sirio is what you would call insane. GRP is tame when compared to this engine. Not knocking the GRP, its a good little engine, but the sirio out shines it and at a lower price. The 08 versions are showing up on hobby shop shelfs now (black case) and I would recomend looking into one of them before spending more money on a GRP.
The clb7 is a long stroke more suited for a truggy but the Kanai EVO III STI is more for the buggies. Not saying you cant run the cl7b in a buggy, my brother does and it flat out rips up the track. The kanai edition is just smoother were as the cl7b has great low end grunt and the power seems endless.

I wasnt comparing it to a mrt, i said old ninja, and they are vastly different to an old ninja!!! I stand by my statement. And untill i see some internals of a mrt, im skeptical of that too.

Whatch Adam Drakes GRP motor run in this video from last Saturday. Does your GRP run like this?

No dude the FLS pipes are extremely restrictive.. I had mine dyno tested on a X-Dyno... terrible pipes if your looking for big power.. they are EFRA pipes and designed with noise restriction as a priority... Install a OFAN 086 or 053 and watch that GRP engine come alive, it will be night and day stronger then with the FLS series pipes......... FLS=noise restriction......... 086=Raw Power...


Also the regualr Ninja Bo1A and the GRP have the same crank bore ( Mr. Black please measure before making statements like this) they have the same port timing, port shape, rod length,bore stroke......... the only difference between the new GRP Gold head and the older B01A is the new GRP has a dilled and filled crank, other then that they are 100% identical engines.......... to say they are completely different is is completely wrong, as they are 100% identical other then a few minor factory mods....... the ports/timing/crankbore are all identical !!!! So you guys pumping your chest over your new GRP's please realise you just bought a Ninja B01A in different clothing, nothing more.....

Supertib have you heard or used the dynamite tuned pipes? How different are they from the ofna 086?

The dynamite 086 and OFNA 086 (or Novarossi or any other 086) are all the same design. Same with the 053'3 063's etc.
The quality of construction and materials may differ though

GRP engines are distrubuted by OS engines. If memorey serves, Truhe got 10 min runs on his at the dirt race and Im thinking he was the only one to do so. There might have been others, that was a long weekend of racing.

No, GRP are distributing their own engines. It's the new Mugen Seiki JX Ninja motors that are being manufactured and distributed by OS after their split from GRP.

the Dynamite pipe and OFNA pipe are nothing alike..the OFNA pipe is louder ( much much louder) and to me makes more HP....

I beleive the Go pipe is the best pipe for that mill..... I do beleive the 3 port was intended to be somewhat mild as an alternative to the heavy hitting 5 and 7 port versions......
