This is my compromise vehicle.

Can still haul a refer for the kids, wood, trash....

...and a couple of planes.

Wish I had one of the nice haulers that you guys have....

Here are some close up shots of one of the rack tubes that I built for my Explorer. Note that this works well since I have 4 coat hooks in the ceiling of my car...

The white plasitc on the hook is a silicon wrap that sticks to itself and protects the headliner. The lenght of the tube with the end cap is just snug enough to prevent it from slipping around. The T-fittings are where the cross braces go. I am still adjusting them to find the optimal spacing for the planes in my hanger... The beach towel is a drip catcher...

We bought a '96 Plymouth Voyager this year... and she thinks it was to transport the kids. HAHA Them seats come out in 15 seconds hehe...
