Isn't that the A-10 that was featured in Popular Science magazine?

You're right on. That A-10 is AMAZING. Some closer shots of the Wart Hog, and of course, flight shots would be icing on the cake!! Keep 'em coming!

I am finished with the Static Judging, so tomorrow, I'll get with Mike and Ray, and get some detail shots of the Hog. Any other requests? Post what you want, and I'll do what I can to make it happen.

Hi Bill, thanks for all the info & nice shots, since you asked I'll request...

Cockpit shots & details, like that gun bay in the 47 (WOW!!!!) REALLY nice!!! and if you have the chance get some pics of the interior of the planes The Guts!!! I always enjoy looking at the guts to see how others route/hook things up, something you don't get to see often from the TOP DOGS.

And one more request is the BIG PICTURE, never been there - hope one day to, but overall shots of the field, flightlines & pits, pits are another neat thing to see, like - what are these guys using for cradles & tables to put these gorgeous planes together, you know, the stuff you don't see in the magazines to often.

well, I hope I didn't over do it

OH!! one more request, Engine compartments! inside those cowls, how are the pro's sett'n things up??

Well Bill, I know what your probably saying right now! "man this guy is a real pain in the ass!"

Thanks guys for sharing your weekend with us, looking forward to see more.

have fun,
willey

Top Gun 2008 additional pictures... Look at the 2nd to last photo, now look at the last photo. How did this canopy stay on, the plane actually landed with it. Got lucky today keeping this canopy!

I posted some more (jet) warbird pics over on the jets forum, including some good shots of the Mike Selby/Ray Johns A-10.

Did I hear someone say A-10?

PS: that incredible F-18 with the tiger on the tail? It lost a wheel on take off and didn't make it back to land. Ate the grass at the end of the runway coming in for a landing. Looks like a rather major loss. All the gear were destroyed as were the nose, the intakes one of the wings... a bloody shame.

I've currently got about 400 MB of pictures to filter thru and will be updating this thread with them as long as the OP is OK with them.

I have some of the corsair. No cockpit at all and the wing fold doesn't seem to be 100%. I'll update tomorrow. Till then try these:

The MIGHTY VULCAN BOMBER!

That looks like Sam Snyder's scratch built balsa overcast, with pilot Steve Elzey in attendance...quite the project! I have had the pleasure of meeting Sam several times at the GSW Jet rally in Waco, TX and seeing this monster fly...are they flying in Team or Pro-Am?

I'd appreciate any pics or info you can post on the C-ARF Corsair..I have a serious jones (and a waiting Moki radial) for this model...

Thanks for the pictures, there are some great looking and flying models there this year. Does anyone know how Len Ashwood's Fairy Swardfish did this year?, i saw this model at his place few months ago, it was looking great even from under the blanket... , That Avro Vulcan is awesome, did it flew or was it just for static display...
