I have an electric sunfire (which I got in Feb. from nitrorcx) and it used to run fine but I've had some problems. I have only driven it inside because I am in central Canada and haven't really gotten a chance to run it. My first run the engine was making a strong smoking smell so I ran the buggy off the ground at around half throttle till the battery died. I have a Traxxas Stampede and 2 1500 batteries with a Dynamite peak charger. After I this I ran it for a few runs in my church basement and it was great. Then one day I really wanted a run so I went outside where is was nice the road was packed hard and I have a large yard. I was only running it on the road and driveway and there were a few times where it went in deep snow and got stuck but I was running awesome! with the 4wd. I knew it wasn't a smart idea to run it outside from warnings in the Stampede manual so I let it dry for over 3 hours over a vent on the front wheels. Once It was completely dry I wanted to see if the stampede's monster tires would fit and they did(only the back). But the buggy was having a hard time and I could smell the smoky smell again so I stopped it and took off all the wheels. I turned it on and was revving it making sure it was okay but the computer started to smoke then the throttle got stuck and then the computer lit on fire. I turned off the transmitter but the buggy kept going at full throttle so I turned it off then it stopped along with the small fire. The buggy wouldn't turn back on and after closer inspection the space in between two wires was black. So a month later i got the replacement computer(low on funds) and today I put it in and it started put and went full throttle. I thought it was the throttle trim so I adjusted it but it wouldn't stop so I tried resetting it like the instructions said to and it stopped but when I turned it back on it did the same thing. Steering would also not work so I was fiddling with the steering while it was going and it stopped and when I did a left turn it acted as a throttle but without reverse. I switched the two cords on the receiver and the throttle was responsive but the gas was still going and the trim wasn't working (throttle or steering) and the steering still wasn't working. I know that the transmitter batteries are good and I tried the Traxxas 1500 and the Exceed battery both with the same result I was wondering whether someone can give me some help.

Looks like your receiver has gone bad as a result from the snow. You electric circuit on the receiver has been damaged. Have you try another receiver?

Man I was hoping that the receiver wasn't the problem. It looked fine and that wasn't a problem when I was running it inside with the larger tires on before the computer blew. There aren't any signs of wear and tear and it hasn't acted up till now. I guess I'll try buying another receiver unless you can suggest something else.
