Hey there,

I just picked up one of your 67" Fusion 90's and am rethinking my power choice "Saito 100 already on hand" for the sole reason of I hate the mess of glow. Anyways......After looking at the specs, the MVVS or Evolution 1.6 gassers only weigh a few more ounces than the Saito 125 or Magnum 120. I realize I will have another battery pack and switch then.....but will the extra weight completely kill the flight envelop of the plane?

Thanks for any insight you have,

Scott

I really do not recommend that combo at all. The Fusion was designed for a glow engine of .91 or so size. If you put a gasser on there it will be overweight, vibrate to death, and probably not make you happy. Go with the Saito 100 you have. Not super power but many have used that combo with success.

Not to step on toes but I could not agree more. Those few onces you talk about will all need balast in the tail. Mine is 1.25 powered and at 7.5lbs feels as light as a feather on the sticks. I have the engine slid all the way back and have three servos in the tail. Try the 1.00 with a 15x6APC. Or run 30% and turn a APC 16x4W.

Saito 100 it is then.....as for 30%.....not wasting the money on it. I've run it before.....but seeing I've only got one source for fuel around here and the prices are super high.....I'm gonna stick with 15%. Thanks for the info guys....hopefully my ol' trusty 100 will have enough oomph.

The Saito 100 on 15% should be fine for general aerobatic flying but again probably not enough for all out 3D. Might be surprised though. Many have used that S100 and have been happy. But I'm pretty sure they run 30% nitro though. let us know how your combo flys.
