This is a little off topic but if you wanted to take a shot at biodiesel... there's an easy way to do it.

Getting the car to run off of pure hydrogen is a whole other story... one near to impossible since it's very inefficient to make hydrogen, although very worth wile despite what some people think.

My advice for wiring it all and hooking up the gas lines is try to pick up tips from water4gas.com there's a lot to learn there, and also realize that it might be even more efficient to use the alternator for power, only using the unused electricity.

Another thing about hooking it up to your engine is the bubbler. You'll blow your self up with out one so make one, it's easy.

Oh and congrads on what you've done so far. Any chance that you could take a picture? Also what's your power source? Thanks.

i only think a regular engine will work off of hydrogen if it uses a carberator, because it doesnt inject fuel into each cylinder, it lets it go in the intake manifold, and the vaccume takes it in. myth busters are proof of this, you can run a car on it, but you cant make it nearly as fast.

almost %100 sure you cant get this to work without lots and lots of power, and lots and lots of water, its impractical, the best idea is to have a hydrogen tank that you refill in the future, making a self supporting car is BS.

whats a better idea is to get the gas injectors pressured at thousands of PSI, this atomizes the fuel and will give you 120MPG, but again it is most likely not probible for a average joe to make it.

Oh sorry, I was in the middle of something when I posted on that last post. We are using jumper cables hooked up to a car battery and the cables are hooked up to a 60amp amp meter that has clips coming out the other side. (took us a while to find the amp meter)

Klein's gas (or Brown's gas) seems to work quite well as a torch, but I just don't see how it could work well in a combustion engine. After all, once the gas is in the chamber how do you get all of it to burn? I don't see how its possible not to have some leftover water after the ignition cycle. I know guys used to put a bit of water in the carb of older engines that used leaded fuel to get rid of the built up carbon...

In the torch any recombination of molecules happens outside the point of ignition so it can't interfere.

Perhaps cars like the Honda FCX will be the way of the future.

With the HHo you will get water in your intake, engine, and exhaust. That is why you have to rust proof the engine and exhaust or just run a little gas and you won't have to.

but the gove, keeps this secret because what would happen if you can buy a car that got 120mpg tomorrow? you would junk your car and fill your tank with 3 gallons, so that junked car along with the millions of other out dated cars would be of no use, car companies and auto sales would go out of business, that would hurt economy something fierce.

so even if they have successful prototypes, you will not get your hands on it for years and years, even a lifetime.

we all do..... if you replace the air filter with a cotton one you will gain 1mpg, if you get a better exghost system it will go up 1 or 2mpg, if you use better octain (doesnt always work) you can gain 1mpg.

so you can possibly get upto 4mpg, which is actually pretty great.

also, if i drive MY car with more pedal, i get 1.5mpg better

I worked on a new cell most of the afternoon and it works amazing. I stole the idea from water4gas.com where they wrap wire around the plus sign shaped thing in the picture(the wood). What I did for anyone interested... I cut out 3 pieces of wood and glued them together. Then I ripped the copper wires out of a power cord(like from a lamp) and wrapped them around the wood "intertwined sort of" as shown in the second picture. I plugged it in and that's the best results I've ever gotten by far. Hydrogen mist, I can smell it, lots of bubbles. Funny how the hydrogen wire(negative) turned blue. And the water went from cold to warm(no surprise). I think my mini torch will be made after I get a new power source. My 6 amp computer power supply doesn't run more than 15 seconds at a time before I have to restart it.

sorry no shots of it in action... hopefully tomorrow

This is a picture from water4gas.com showing how my wires are wrapped(the red and black, + and -) it also shows what a bubbler is.

This is my CPS(computer power supply) and also in the picture is what I made this morning... a torch tip. I cut the top of an air compressor thing meant for filling up basket balls and stuff and what do ya know... hobby fuel line fits perfectly snug on the inside! So that's my fuel line for the torch tip.

very cool. gotta find a better amp though, i know some speaker recivers put out around 30 to 75 amps, but the volts tend to be low.

Hey koolaid, do you think you could get a short vid of just how much H2 it produces? Right now I'm using a piece of half inch PVC pipe with two copper wires wrapped around it in a double helix with a pitch of about 3/16" running on 12v and it still takes me over an hour to fill a water baloon.
