Since I have owed a monsoon in the past I am anxious to see how this is! I loved my monsoon and this looks like it is alot better in the suspension part of it. Should be alot more durable in the front too because of that. No more knuckle screws coming out or stripping or front end slop.

Its not as heavy as the monsoon. The pivot ball suspension is great. It has universals in the front to, so you do not have to worry about dog bones coming out. You will be impressed by the speed of it.

Well I am not all about speed. I only run on race tracks. I do not bash at all. I am more into the handling and things. But speed is good

LOL speed is always good. You will find that depending on your track conditions (soft or hard) you might want a thinner set of tires. The tires on the RXT are nice, but wide, if your track is hard then they will be fine, but if its soft your going to want to go thinner. They work great in my region, but most of the tracks around here are hard clay.

Well I got my truggy in today. NICE!!. I am very surprised of the quality put into this truggy. Compared to the redcat monsoon it is way above in quality. The shocks are better. The arms are also longer. Almost the same width as my Caster both without wheels. What surprised me was the captured hinge hinge pins everywhere and also the captured steering rod ends and the included front sway bar. None of which come on other RTR's. Also the main thing I loved was the GO .28 motor!! Hell yeah!! Just did one idle break in tank and will do the rest tomorrow. Only complaints I have are the lack of Glow plug ignitor, fuel bottle, wheel nut wrench, which all have nothing to do with the truggy. I would think RTR would come with those. Only thing on the truck I can see would be nice is side mud guards. For the price of this truggy it is hard to beat if you do not want to spend more than 350.00. Far above even the thunder tiger ST-1. I have pics but will post them later.

Yes it is totally different. I do have one question. I see it has the extended clutch bell on it. It looks like you can just slide the motor up in the motor mounts and use a regular clutch bell. Can you?? I would assume you have to notch out the chassis more too right?

i did it to mine to run a bigger bell, i run a 13 tooth on mine, you just have to notch the chassis for the flywheel and the body mount a little for the backplate on one side. It took me about 15 mintues to do the modification, we sell the clutchbells too , from 13 to 20 tooth

You mean you sell the long bell 13-20 tooth right, so if you did not want to do the mod?

Also looks like you can install a set of Big Bores without changing the shock mounts We soon shall see!

Here are some pics of the Truggy. I do like the body too. Very sleek and low.

I noticed you guys do not talk much on the truggy or buggy threads about you Himoto 1/8's. It is a good way to get the word out of these 2 cars. I just posted pics of the truggy in the truggy pics and some people never heard of it or knew it had pivot ball suspension. Most newbies look on those threads I think more than here and more would see this product if some posts or this entire truggy and RXb-1 thread were on there.

Thats a good idea. I frequent those threads and have only posted once about my RXB once. I think a bigger presence might have to happen.
