hi i have a its a very old ZENOAH 23cc it has the square looking pull start but any way its not working whitch was fine larst week
1, if i take the air filter off it blows the egsorst fumes back thow the carb
2, 25-1 fuel mixture allwase used
3, the egsorst seems fine not to rstricktive
4, if i hold the wheels off the ground and fold full thortal it will after like 10 seconds get above idle speed and then it seems to work then i drop the car and drive but if i stop it canot get moving
5, i have tried for 3 days now and canot find any think rong (i have tryed lots of diffrent needle stttings PS. i need the low end needle 1 of a turn out from fully closed just to get it 2 fire up
any one know why?

It sound to me like the fuel is bad, that is the way my stuff runs when the fuel gos bad.

Exhaust port blocked? Exhaust blocked? The exhaust coming back through the carb sounds very odd. Have you ever had it apart? First take the exhaust off and inspect it very carefully. Then strip the engine and replace all the gaskets. If that doesn't solve it...well, it'll be time for a new motor. I wouldn't bother with a top end (even if you can find one that will fit), as the bottom end on a very old motor probably won't take the strain of a decent ported 27.2. I think the cheapest way to get a strong engine would be to get a brand new 23cc CY from ebay, and a headkit from DDM. Should run you less than $150 total, and then you'll have a larger displacement, porting and of course an all new engine. Alternative of course is just to buy a brand new Zen G230/260RC, they're great mills anyway, but will cost more.
