Never liked the RC-56 and had little success with it, and it is a pain to use because it flows too easily and it really doesn't clean up all that well. Now, on an ARF, I use clear RTV - about a 1/16" tall bead. You need to roughen up the canopy and covering where it will contact with some 180-220 and wipe it clean with 90%+ isopropyl alcohol. You then press the canopy on to about where you want it, wipe away excess with an alcohol-dampened cloth, then position it exactly where you want it, tape it in a couple places and again wipe the excess, then really tape it down and let it sit for about 12 hours and remove the tape. If any RTV has oozed out wher there was tape, you can typically roll your finger over it and lift it off. After 24 hours it's all cured and ready for flying. The RC56 seems to take a month!!! On a kit build, I use a high grade of 30-45minute epoxy, and I roughen up the canopy with some 60-80 grit.
