Has anybody else picked up one of these on Ebay lately ?
They're pretty cheap in price, I hope not in quality.
My buddy has one and it rips, stock!

Lemme know what you guys think.
Sorry it's a buggy but I will have this in between down times
of my (expensive) Kyosho ST-RR Truggy.

I have one is awesome. My rear diff pinion stripped lately though I have been running it for a while and this happened after putting lithium grease on the diff gears in the back. Previously was perfect the gears so I am thinking you should only use grease made for plastic that won't make it soft. I am going to try again with plastic grease and we will see how it goes.

It's a awesome car really though. I can get 20 mins a tank running lean and it uses like no fuel. I can run it everyday probably for a year and still be on the first gallon. Perfect for messing around without creating alot of noise, or having to worry about runaway where it can result in disaster. So think about it this way, cheap to run, durable, and safe. Loads of fun to!! Not the best jumper but it does jump. I just got new wheels of this site.

I bought the yellow ones as you can see and they last forever with awesome grip. Very cheap wheels. I also bought aluminum hex's but there isn't really any need.

These are teh aluminum wheel hexes anyways

Here is a pic of my car

And a old video in the snow with the old wheels

With the newer wheels alot better never gets stuck and way better top speed.

They are ok... gears and diffs strip to easily for my liking, least parts are cheap.

A pal o mine just got one in a trade, lightly used.
I understand the diffs fail a lot

Yeah, the plastic gears are definately the weak link...I hope that someone, pretty soon makes some metal ones. In the meantime I've been lucky by cleaning and re-packing all three diffs with silicon grease. I haven't stripped any lately with about 10 tankfuls, but I drive it fairly lighthanded. It's still a kick in the pants as a diversion from my old Ofna Ultra MBX w/ a Picco .26.

P.S. I recently JB Welded by center dif spiders, and I like the results. Now I've got 4-wheel brakes, and it even-out the power to both diffs. The pinions seem to be holding-up better by re-packing them with silicon grease after every five or six tanks...that seems like a lot of work, but it really only takes about 10 or 15 minutes total. So far no probs with the other spiders that I lightly greased with silicon grease, and added a couple drops of 60 wt. silicon oil. Update on my partner's new Chaos with "all the goodies": It's not quite done yet, but the Hitech servos are an easy conversion and I think he used an Associated servo saver. Pretty piss-poor support from Sportswerks or Horizon customer service, since the aluminum shocks and suspension need a few not-so-obvious modifications to make them work. I still think that if some aftermarket company would manufacture metal gears for it they could sell a crapload of 'em.

Too bad about the engine. I've seen a couple electric conversions on the web and that might not be a bad option. Send me your engine if you don't need it; I've got a few ideas for another Toki engine...
