Last night I deliberately drove the same car a few times, until they were destroyed. I should have been doing it more often, I forgot how much fun it can be. I used to change car after a major crash, but it's fun to take one car to the end of the line. I was driving a bobcat through the center of the city, and the cops were after me (3 stars), so the car was taking a beating, I managed to run and get out of the search area with my busted bobcat, but just as I managed it, a taxi pulled out from a side road and killed my truck. I'm there swearing at the car trying to start it, so I just dial a random number and the car starts again. I pull off down the road before I realise it's on fire. Collecting speed with the car on fire, I'm heading to a junction and I see a single lone police car stopped at the lights. Aimed the truck at him, got up to speed, and jumped out. Car carried on, on perfect course, smacked straight into the back of the police car. Cop had just enough time to get out o the car and go 'what the hell?', before BOOOOOOM, BOOOOOOM, both cars scattered across the city. Just a smoking black mark on the road where the cop was standing. lol. Pedestrian walking past said 'holy cow, that was like some stuff out of a movie or something'. I lol'd. Great game.

I just picked up a dualshock 3 a couple days ago and I had forgotten how much it adds to the games. I got it more for MGS4 since thats the game it was made for (or so I read) but its nice to have it for other games as well like GTA IV. For those who are thinking of picking up a second controller, take it into consideration.

Picked up the special edition for the 360 last week, absolutely loving it! The detail is just astounding...

I played it in HD recently. It looks cleaner but Forza 2 is ridiculous in HD.

I just finished the game today. The last misson is a doozy. Overall I really enjoyed this game. Its long, addictive, and quite entertaining the whole time you go through the story mode. And the best part about this game is that once your done there is plenty more for you to do.

Yeh man, I'm looking forward to pigeon hunting. I actually hate pigeons in real life. Most of them are gonna get rocket propelled grenades up the doohicky.

Annie, only recently in HD? Wow, I've been playing HD Xbox and PS3 for a year plus. Cool though, isn't it.

Or do you mean 1080p? Full HD? IF you do, then be aware that Grand Theft Auto on Xbox 360 is a 720p game, and on PS3 only 640p!!! Not many games are actually capable of displaying at 1080p, and lastly, you can't tell the difference when playing between 720p and 1080p, unless your screen is 45" plus.

People who ask me for advice about TVs are still being told not to waste their money on full HD yet. Best thing is to wait for two things to happen. Firstly, for more 1080p games and bluray movies to come out (yep, so far only 5 or 6 are actual 1080p movies, and only a handful of games), and secondly for the prices to drop in a year or so. Personally, I can't tell the difference (maybe a TINY bit) between 1080p and 720p on my 40". That goes for bluray and gaming, though bluray is slightly more noticeable.

So, before everyone goes, "woah, I'll get the 360 version of GTA, cos the PS3 is only 640p", I'll say... Yes, get the 360 version, but not because of this graphics issue. Get the 360 version because of the new content that only 360 owners will get. In actual fact, even though the graphics are a lower res on the PS3, they look better due to the lighting and image quality that the graphics card in the PS3 is capable of. The 360 version may have been ported from the PS3 version, which would explain why it's 720p, and why it still looks more washed out than the PS3 version, which as I say just has better lighting and more vivid colours, despite the lower resolution.

My PS3 with GTA IV displays 720p, on a Sony Bravia 46". i wish it was 1080p though. on the back cover of the game is shows supported HD output as 720p, 1080i, 1080p. but my TV automaticly switches to 720p?

Yeah, you dont want to wear nice things with her. I forget what she dislikes/likes, you can find it all online. But Lawyer chick does have a nice bonus, when you call her she will get rid of 3 of your wanted stars. Sobohoe replenishes your health when you call her.

How many of you guys use cheats? It makes the game a little easier IMO. Don't have to buy guns and can get rid of the cops quick. I beat the game with cheats and now I want to beat it without cheats.

Well ive only started using cheats, finished the story mode and all the most wanted missions.

IMO They dont really add anything to the game, the only cheat I use on a regular basis is the one to spawn the FIB Buffalo. Its become my favourite car in the game...

I dont like the Police Chopper at all. I usually spawn it, fly to the top of a really high building, spawn a car on top, and drive off the edge

Makes such a good crash scene, and damage you wouldnt even know exisited in the game LOL.

Yeh, it upscales to those resolutions, and you should be able to force your TV to display it in 1080p if you want, but both 1080i and 1080p will look worse than 720p, as the native resolution of the game is honestly 640p on PS3, and 720p on Xbox, but like I say, it still looks fractionally better on PS3 (I play on PS3 myself).
