Status: offline 		I have a new 4500nimh 5 cell pack that will not charge more than 300-400milamp, also several other times i have charged nimh
on the triton it has indicated that it finised charging a 1000miliamp, on about six diferent ocations this can not be coincidence.

Status: offline 		On brand new Nimh batteries you should use a Forming charger for the first 2-3 cycles of the battery and then charge with a Triton peak detect charger. If you don't properly Form the battery it may never reach it's full potential and secondly the Triton will peak detect early. I have used this method with my Tritons and they work great.

While you're at it, verify your time limit is also off.

What's the rate you're using for charge?

Status: offline 		I had problems charging my 2500 NiMH until I studied the manual and realized the SAFETY TIMER was completely adjustable and had to be increased. Also, the NiMH MAX CHARGE INPUT also had to be set to match the battery capacity. After reading setting these parameters I've had good luck with the TRTON.
