Very nice looking models, I especially liked the Gooney Bird. One thing I don't understand, about either of them. As much attention as was obviously spent on scale detail, why did they make the wings flat? (no dihedral). The C182 has about 2-1/2 degrees, and the C-47 about 6 or so. The models would sure be more stable with the scale dihedral.

Looks pretty scale in the pics. By the way, they are looking for a US distributor so if anyone is interested, e-mail them with attention to Tommy the owner. TMMY can still ship to the US though.

It is a good looking plane. You don't get a sense of just how big the thing is until you see someone next to it. As to my earlier post on dihedral There are a few pics that show it the way it should be, but also some showing the plane with none at all. Maybe it's camera angle. Fine looking models.

Yes the brakes are functional. I think it is an amazing price @ $1,500 dollars too!! Especially considering how complete it is.

Hi-
The C-47 in RNAF colors on Tommy's webpages is mine, and I also had his 1/5 Cessna. Both are very stable flyers, no problem. A slightly increased wingspan and washout at the wing tips compared to scale account for this.

Were they easy to build?

I have never ordered anything from TMMY Scale Composites. When you ordered the planes, did you have any problems? What condition were they in when they arrived? How did you have them shipped to you? Ground? Air? Sea? How did you pay for the planes? I'm not trying pry, it's just that TMMY is a new company & I'm just trying to gauge their level of service. Plus I REALLY want to order that 35% scale Cessna.

Thanks,

Saul

Blimey! It makes the Austars Cessna look tiny!

I may have to switch my plans and go for this one! Although I do also like the 1/5 version.Does the fuzz on the 35% Cessna detach into 2 x halves for transport anybody know? Otherwise transport could be a problem with this version

It looks like it detaches. There is a photo showing half of the fuselage with what looks like some kind of tabs on that part of the fuselage.

I actually had a very fast initial couple of emails, but then suddenly I got no response. I am guessing that he may not be able to reply, as our conversation was going along quite nicely. Maybe he's away or has no internet connection or something. I will send another email and wait.

Normally these models are custom built to order, so the buyer can decide on the final finish like any preferred colour scheme, lettering etc. This means a certain length of time should be allowed for production and delivery.
