I know this is a model airplane forum BUT there are lots of engine guys in our ranks. I have a Weedwacker SST25 and it is a POS. It only starts if I folow the directions "EXACTLY". Once running you have to keep goosing it else it will die at low throttle. The idle speed screw is set to max but after a while it dies when I let it go below 1/2 throttle. There are two screws on the carb and I do not know which is the low needle and which is the high needle or which you adjust 1st????

These numbers are stamped on the othe side: 1037 and T669 ???

My K&B Sportsters run better than this.

Thanks
Francis

I think I had a motor like that on a 4* 60. It was a little nose heavy, but had unlimited vertical!!! That's how I lost it. I got the nose up & gave it full throttle It went out of sight in about 2 seconds I imagine it's still going straight up & that was a year ago !!! I hope NASA don't give a call someday !!! Sorry Francis, I just couldn't resist ..

Try changing the spark plug. can make a world of difference. Otherwise you may get better results if you ask someone in the gas engine forum.

There is an idle screw adjustment. Adjust it.

The one closest to the engine is the idle mix. Back it out counter clockwise if you can, But I see no slot in it. May be a fixed jet. The one above with the philips/slot only controls the idle speed.
