I just aquired a Troy Built One Design with a Webra 1.20, perry pump. It is about 4 years old with a couple of flights on it. How does this engine perform and what fuel would you use with it? FAI, 0% nitro or something else?

My Webra Speed 1.20 does not have the pump, so I can't say what effect the pump might have. However, it has been my experience that these engines do best with low or no nitro fuel. They are also a ringed (Dykes???) design, and DO NOT like being over heated as the ring can quicly be damaged if this occurs. Therefore, I always try to keep mine set a bit rich on the high end, and keep the Nitro low to avoid possible detonation that can send temps soaring. The good news is that they make tons of power, with inexpensive fuel! Mine will turn an APC 16 x 8 a little over 9.1K with just 5% Nitro fuel. The only down side I have found with this engine is that it always has had a rather rough transition through it's mid-throttle settings. It doesn't quit on me, but it does get rough at times...
