Yes, and the adapters are still being sold. The second item from the bottom in these parts tables:

I doubt if it would run any better. Anybody ever try it?

I had a Tower .60 that was basically an Eagle with a Perry carb...(that was in the mid 70's )
Ran quite well...easy to adjust...no problems.

Fox used to manufacture one as well. It was called a " D Flange Adaptor". I used a few on some Fox's and they work quite well. Its nice to know that the Perry adaptor is still available.

In our case, I used it on my Dad's Fox Eagle 3. He was having problems obtaining a consistent needle setting. It turns out that our original Mk X carb had a rough spot that would collect fuel deposits. You could take it apart and clean it and have pretty decent results temporarily. We decided to try the flange adaptor with a HB .61 carb. It worked great and made a extremely reliable engine out of the old Fox. We did lose 200 rpm off the top end, but since it was on a trainer, we gladly traded it for the reliability.

I had a few other Fox's with Mk X carbs that ran well with no issues at all.

I have used the Perry Pump carb w/Perry Pump on a Fox .74 - ran just fine. I was given an older Fox .78 with a damaged carb. Replaced
the carb with a standard Perry and flew it for 3 years until this year. Ran just fine.

Like dammitman, I have several Fox engines and have no trouble running them with stock carbs (either the air bleed or Mark X).

My .02

Dan

I had a Fox Eagle I Tower .60 that came with a Perry carb. It didn't run well, never could get it to idle well. Bought a used Fox engine that came with an extra Fox MKX carb so I put it on the old Fox .60 and now it runs great. Not saying that it won't run well with a Perry, but this was my experiance.
