Glad to hear everything worked out great for you. I would like to see 3rd hit sooner myself, so when I get some extra money to fix any mess ups I do I'm going to give it a shot
I might try from the sides when I do mine, have to make sure I take pictures myself.
Do you know how much wieght you added? The slugs you made, did they just fit, or did you have to work them?
I think putting weight on BOTH sides of the Center adjustment screw would perfect your mod, that way the centrifigual force is equal on both sides
I will do this too sometime soon, if the fancy strikes me...lol
I`ll do that to even things up and i will put teflon on to strengthen things up
doesn`t really need it, but when ive time on my hands i may aswell
DISASTER after 3 tanks of fuel the clutch would just start slipping like mad in third
so after a call to the hobby shop for a new set of clutch shoes i set to it again
I bored 2x 5mm holes on the side of each clutch shoe,
i sanded one side of each shoe and stuck a piece of 1mm teflon to them making sure it was the side that faces out of the clutch bell
I then took a hardened steel 4mm hex wrench (for a bit more weight) and cut off 4x 8mm lengths from it
epoxied them in the 4 holes and trimmed off the extra epoxy with a hobby knife
built it all back togeather and set the adjustment on the clutch to 7.5 turns out
when i took the truck for its first run out it shifted excellent
I ran 3 tanks of fuel through it and the truck shifted consistantly and effort less each time, i can not be happier with how my truck now runs, its great

What does everyone think...
Will JB Weld hold up as good as epoxy? It did hold a alternator mount on for 2 weeks untill my friend's brother sold his truck. But that was metal to metal, I'm not sure what these trucks use as a clutch shoe. Maybe I'll try anyway, not sure.

sparky 25, How did you hold the clutch shoe down when you drilled it? I'm about to drill but wanted to know what you used before I start. I was thinking just a plastic clamp that uses a spring being held by my vice.
