How about Andrew or someone from CEN posting an exact step by step procedure on how to properly set up the GST to shift into third gear. Its obviously an issue if people are modding the cluth shoes to get it to shift. Thanks guys

Poo how you been getting on with the clutch?

I haven't even looked at the truck since the last time I was here. My teflon came in the mail the other day. I was going to finish last night when I came home from the hike I took with the kid, but I put the wrong shoes on her and had to have her on my shoulders for 4/5 of the walk. Right now I'm having a hard time useing my arm and the shot's I got in my lower back only lasted a day.

I still have to go out and find something heavier to cut up and stuff in there. I might look through some old tools and parts and work on something to rig up. I'm also worried that the holes on the one shoe might be to close to the edge/bottom and become a major weak point. With that being said, that's also why I love doing stuff like this.

Even though I haven't done anything I can't get this mod out of my mind. Everywhere I go I look for something to use, I wanted to find something else to use instead of teflon. I was thinking carbon should be as strong, or strong enough, but would take up less room and weight on the side of the shoe. I'm also picking up random objects and thinking how can I cut this and how heavy is it.

I'm off to go ouch...

one more thing...

CEN: There should be a sticky of how to setup the clutches right and also have a list of other mods and setups. If everyone had a single place to find the settings, mods and what not for your great products, there wouldn't be as many same question post going on. Also everyone can keep a running list of the settings they and everyone else uses so we can get a feel for what everyone is running.

Just a thought I've had for a long time and never got out.

So guys - are you going to share your knowledge with your customers or we all have to email Andrew one by one ?????
At the moment it is a back yard job only unless CEN got a better trick for us

The Real Dogman ,you done it again
I honestly think this vacation should be fully paid by CEN .You do do their R&D ,PR and CS
Looking forward for this write up because that is the two main problems I have with my GST (and I believe that I am not alone if we read through the forums)
Have a great holiday
Still sad that CEN is not sharing their knowledge

In my way of thinking you should be paid nicely from CEN -Because you do three jobs (R&D ,PR & CS) for them to keep the public happy.
Many would have walked away a long time ago with out your ( and others) support
Lets stay positive -enjoy your holiday so we could tune it up and get this 3rd gear

I'm finally getting to my truck that's been sitting for weeks on the dryer . Have a little over 2 hours untill I can cut off extra, sand and cover the clutch with teflon. I'm putting the teflon on both sides, as long as there's room, since I went with the lighter wieghts to see how that works. Since I'm bored on a friday I'm going to finish the clutch and open up my other two diffs for cleaning and heavier oils. If I don't find a life tonight I'll edit and bring my 2 post here.

[edit]

Can't put two pieces of teflon on. Next time around I'm going to look into some carbon and resin mix. I just got back a little while ago and cut the extra jb weld off and sanded. Since I broke through into the one hole I'm going to have to dremel the
