I have my truck running again and have done the third gear mod. My truck does shift once about 15 feet out does anyone think this is 2nd or 3rd gear or how can I find out. I have run and watched really good I feel the truck is starting out in first and Im sure I am not missing a shift.
Thank you to all that are here helping people and sharing thaughts.

A question for CEN,

By the sounds of it very few if any GST 7.7's ever shift with out doing mods or tons of adjusting. How can your company keep advertising and selling something that doesent work. I am sure there are laws out there that should keep that from happening.

I got sick of the search for loose carbon fiber so I went out and bought a cut off wheel that was just over 1mm thick. I was wondering if anyone had any clue what the rpm's of the 3rd gear clutch is through it's range.

Does anyone know of any high speed .040 inch or 1mm think cut off wheels or anything build with the woven fiber/carbon fiber resin combo wheels or sheets that can be carefully cut to shape. I'm going with the great dremel cutoff wheel with slow going cuts letting it air cool. Any better ideas would help.

It would be great to hear from one of cen's tech guys. But they let anyone use the same name or through out a name of someone who doesn't replay. (don't mean to rag on you guys but it sucks, along with not helping the matter either way)

Any help would be great no matter how wacked out or off the wall.

Thanks everyone, happy modding

Does anyone know if I left enough/to much room for the clutch to wear down? I just got done with the first one and was about to start the second and was hopeing for a reply before I get my pieces epoxed in.

BTW has anyone ever tryed loctites epoxy before? I know this is the wrong time to try something new, but what's the fun in playing it safe

Thanks if anyone reads this

[edit] the last to pictures are not glued in. I just got the call the my car is in a garage now so its time to open up my POS and hope it's not as bad as I know it is.

injoy

Just got rid of the pictures that showed how i went and wrecked a good set of clutch shoes before i got it right,

I have kept the pictures that show me doing the mod the correct way on page 2

As for the gap around the edges for clutch wear i dont think i even allowed for that, and after a gallon since ive done the mod im still getting that real good snap and burst of speed when third kicks in

Seems a good idea to use a cutting wheel as extra support for the drilled clutch shoes, it should add a little extra weight to the shoes also which cant hurt, You`ll soon be getting a real 3rd gear change enjoy
