I just bought a s90 funtana and I have an OS BGX-1 to install.the guy that I bought it from had the exact same motor and stated it hovered at half throttle. It would be simple if all I need is to put my own in it.as for servos I have hitec 645mg's.can I use them with a 4.8v battery? and what props are best for 3D.I also have a satio 150 and os 120 would I be wiser to replace motor mounts and install either of these engines.

help!!!

Good God that's a big engine for that plane!!!

The Funtana does NOT need that much power. A 120 4-stroke is plenty. Remember, this plane is a ballerina, it will do every trick in the book, but it is not meant to be flown fast and hard.

Ask a ballerina to play Pro Football and something's gonna break!

As I started reading the first sentance, I had exactly the same thought.

I have a 1.00NX ( sigh... NX... ) in mine, and on the days it DID decide to run for a while I found that this was practically too much engine for the plane.

It would hover it nicely, but the plane had a tendancy of overspeeding... something that could be cured with a lower pitched prop.

Even on a 1.80 plane the BGX may be too much.

theres 2 BGX's that I know of.Mine is an older model and not the 3500 for giant scale.the BGX-1 version is roughly a 1.08 2 stroke.I am going to prop it with a apc 16x4w and should be okay.

I HAVE A SATIO 150 AND 1.80 but am looking at an edge or yak..

Ok, a 108 with a 16x4w should work fine
