I have a shuttle zxx. On the tail rotor shaft there is a small silicon pipe. Why is it there? Does it keep dirt out of that bearing? Can I cut it off? In all flight modes my tail wags quite badly. My gyro gain is all the way down. I think that silicon pipe might be part of the problem not letting the tail controls move smoothly. Any thoughts?
