Hi Guys,
Just a quick check, Ive built as per manual but gone for a carbon spinner not aluminium and its quite tail heavy when balancing.
I ve had to order more stick on weights and am trying to get 190mm as c of g. I guess this is normal but just checking.

DA50, CANNISTER 4300 duralite,2500mah nimh ignition pack.

Regards
Mark

Oh and also the wing retaining washer and rubber i take it the washer sits flush with the woodwork and rubber faces inside.

Well balanced on EZ balancer Ive moved 4300 dura to motor box and added 160 grams combined of weight to front top and bottom of box to balance. It balances but this is a lot of weight anyone made similar build. I hope to maiden this week and just checking how others have set up.

Just an update on balancing, moved battery back to manual posistion as cowl wont fit over duarallite bat on engine box. Added 160 grams weight to front of motor box still, tail heavy. Unless battery in motor box.
After to much worrying about the balance ive ordered a tru turn spinner direct today should have balance fixed with spinner on, so i can take some weights away once fitted shame its coming from the sates could take a while to get here. So will finally get maiden soon. Da setup runs a treat, what an easy starting engine.

Would be interested to here if anyone has built as manual and balanced fine with just a spinner.

I have a ballanced 86" Yak, with Carbon Spinner & Carbon Prop, ignition battery on the front top of the motor box, and 2 rx batts behind the fuel tank. Im actually not happy with the ballance and am going to move it further back. The suggested ballance i think is verry conservative, what do others think?
