Status: offline 		Greetings, I'm without a good scale at the moment and am wondering what the real-life, approximate weight of an OS 55AX, Saito 82, and OS 70 Surpass, with mufflers. I do know that the 55AX is just over an ounce heavier than the 46 AX.

It's frustrating that the specs the manufacturers give are hard to go by. Perhaps there is a list of engine weights, like there is rpm figures, here somewhere at RCU?

Status: offline 		I've found the weights listed on OS's japanese web site to be accurate.

The quoted weights are for the engine without muffler, but there is a separate chart on the dimensions page that lists the weight of all the mufflers.

The .55AX is 404gm + 120gm = 524gm (18.5oz)
The FS .70 Surpass II is 580gm + 55gm = 635gm (22.4oz)

Status: offline 		Hi Ernie, I have a top quality digital scale and I weighed a few of the engines you mentioned. Weights are with muffler, bolts and glow plug and are brand new never run engines.
OS 55 AX=18.2 ozs
Saito 82=18.0 ozs
OS46AX= 17.4 ozs

Status: offline 		If you go to the RCU user reviews under specs the engine wieght is listed without muffler.
