Whats a good plane for a 91fs. Seems like everything I have looked at either recommends an 82 as a maximum, or a 91 as a minimum. Not much in between. About the best thing I have found that is in stock is the Funtana X50, but it recommends an 82 as the biggest four stroke. Anybody flying one with the OS91?

U-Can-Do .46 is a good match for the .91 FS.

The sig hog bipe or 4 star 60 are good matches.

A 91 4s is a good match on a lot of 40 size 3D planes.

For sport flying it is a good match for almost any 60 sized bird.

A super sportster would be fun with that engine too.

The Saito 82 is reportedly about the same weight as a 46, ball bearing, two stroke. That's why Hangar 9 and the rest of the brands distributed by Horizon recommend it for their 40 and 50 size planes.

If you look at the brands distributed by Great Planes (i.e. at Tower) you will find few, if any, that recommend an 82.

A 91 four stroke is heavier than the 82 so you might have issues balancing a 40-50 size plane using one.

These planes recommend a 91 four stroke as the maximum engine
The Great Planes U Can Do 3D 60
Great Planes Little Toni
Great Planes Seawind
Sig Four Star 60
I'm sure there are other but these were easy and quick to find

I have one in a Great Planes Super Skybolt and you'll be hard pressed to find a better ARF.

The .91 is a great match. I'm currently using the MA 15x6 Schimitar prop which gives me aprox 9,500rpm and excellent flight performance.

It really depends on what kind of flying you like to do........ One I have with a 91 Surpass and have had for a couple of years and I like a lot and recommend is a Tiger 60. Skip D

The Fliton Edge 540 Freestyle is an excellent match for a 91 four stroker.

I'll second the Four Star 60, the Hog Bipe, and GP Super Skybolt. My flying buddy uses one on his 60-sized U-Can-Do-3D if that's your style of flying.

The Aeroworks Edge 540 might be a good choice. I am flying one with a 91FS and it is a good match.

I just built the latest Black Horse Katana. Superb plane and that engine is ideal. I have just posted a message in fact praising the plane - and Black Horse.
