Those older paralell twins with Lucas electrics often produced no spark at all.

Actually the fuel consumption would depend on when maximum advance arrived. If soon enough there probably wouldn't be much difference but my idle is satisfactory as is for my situation. The high nitro made it easy to tune when on glow plus some more power. I still had some 15% left when I converted to ignition so I used it. I was planning on going to 5% next but my plane came out heavy and I need all the power I can get. I have not seen a gas engine this size and weight yet that will perform the same. I haven't seen one at our field yet but possibly a Brillelli 26-ssr would. I don't want to mess with a tuned pipe. I just need a lighter airplane.
