I have a new pack that has been cycled 6 times but is not holding charge, what should be a peak charge on this size pack? 7.5-8.0?I had it fully charged according to triton 2 and one full day later of no use and it was down to 5.3

Here's my suggestion, do a full charge and then immediately discharge to about 5.2 volts at a rate of 400mAmps. Document the discharge current. Should be 85% to 100% of rated capacity. If not you may have bad battery or bad charger. Do you have another charger that can charge this battery? If the battery was within the 85-100% capacity spec. Then fully charge the battery again. Noting the charge current. Then leave the battery sit for a couple days and then do a discharge, and document the discharge current. If it is considerably less than you have a bad battery.

now in answer to your question, my Triton has a charge voltage of about 7.55V when a 5 cell 6 volt battery is fully charged.
Another thing you should check for when charging your battery, the pack should be slightly warm when fully charged, if it isn't the battery is probably not fully charged. Hope this helps....
