Status: offline 		Hey just wonderin if there is someone with this plane, just found it and it looks awesome, I have HS-65HB's Phoenix 35 amp, and Rimfire 30-35-1250, and is wondering if it will fly it.

Any input would be great.

Status: offline 		I have the yellow version and I love it! It tracks very well and is by far the easiest plane I own to land. You almost have to be blind to crash land this plane. It tracks great in the wind and has unlimited vertical. It actually is the largest plane I own, but it actually is the lightest plane and one battery last 11+ minutes! I was skeptical at first how well it handle in higher wind, but it handles just like a bigger plane. 3D is limited by your style and abilities and it does IMAC manuevers very well. I would highly recommend this plane as a first 3D plane or a plane that you want to hone your abilities with.

After looking at the specs on the Rimfire, I think you would be slightly underpowered. The Rimfire has max watts at 390 where the Torque 2814T/820 (the motor I have in mine) has max watts @ 518. I swing a 13x6.5e and it has unlimited vertical. I think your motor may be a little on the short side of vertical, but it would sport fly it on a 12x6e. I guess if you want lots of power or vertical you may need to switch out motors. You could still use your ESC on the Torque or PA's recommended motor as I have a 36 amp T-Bird. Hope this helps.

Status: offline 		Thanks, I work at my LHS and am trying to work a deal out, I have a Rimfire 35-36-1200 at 1200KV and maxes out at 666 watts, We just cant get the plane or motor..
Just a quick question, Does this plane tip stall, does it have any bad tendancies?
I can move all my electronics to a Extreme flight Extra 300 and I heard its nice im just wanting a little bigger bird.
I currently have a fliton Extra 260, and it flies well.

Status: offline 		I have had no problems with the tip stall. The plane handles very well at extremely slow speeds. I have actually been walking toward the plane on landing and had to stop because I was walking faster than the plane was flying! It slows down like a foamy, but has amazing "big" plane "feel". Stalls are very gentle and it just lowers the nose and keeps on flying.

If your getting that many watts out of that motor than it should fly it just fine. Someone needs to tell GP to update their website!

Status: offline 		Hey thanks for your input, I have had a few smaller planes, and when they slow down they seem to have wing rock bad, but this plane looks solid, everyony is trying to convert me to glow powered aircraft, but i like no maintinence....

I absolutely love mine i'll tell you that much... Here is a bit of unedited footage captured by a guy at the park, unfortunately it was taken while i had cg a few mm too far forward which accounts for the dirty torque rolls and twitchy/rocky characteristics. It's a shame because i flew 5 packs back to back and it was awesome; of course the 2 minutes i have a camera pointed at it i have the cg out of whack...

that's a do-over and an incomplete; i will have to do it again!

It's an awesome plane, I still love mine and wouldn't dream of selling it even if i have the 260 competing with it for packs. These are my 2 favorite planes, asking me which is number 1 would be unfair at this point because the 260 is newer and i have much less stick time on it than i do MD's


Edit; I guess if held at gunpoint and was forced to choose which one i get to keep i'd probably choose the 260

Status: offline 		Well I live in utah where im at 400 ft. above sea level and every other recommended setup did not work for me I always have to up the motor.
