Status: offline 		Hello, I just wanted to ask you experts if the F27C Stryker could be used in Pylon Racing events? I am new to this aspect of the hobby!

If yes, what upgrades should I do to make it effective? It's current setup (as I bought it) is:

Motor: High-speed, high-torque 1880Kv brushless motor
ESC: E-flite 25A brushless ESC
Battery: 3-cell 11.1V 2200mAh Li-Po battery pack
Prop: 6 x 4

Any suggestions for improval are welcome!

Status: offline 		Pretty much any plane could be used in Pylon racing. It all depend on the rules and parameters that are set up for the event. I don't personally know of any events that currently use that type of plane but I wouldn't be surprised if there is a club somewhere who does. Most of the pylon race events have very specific rules as to what type of plane may be used. You will probably have to do some searching. You may be able to find a group who have set up a race for this type of plane. If not, talk to the guys in your club and see if they would be interested in having such an event.

I am not even sure that this foam plane is suitable for pylon racing, I'll look into models that suit better this role!

Status: offline 		In the Denver area, if time permits, we 3-pole pylon race with Strykers after racing AMA 424 and 428. Hand launch at the wave of the flag. We initially on flew 7 laps thinking that they would slow down a bit but they did not, so we are back to racing 10 laps on the long 3-pole course which equates to 2.5 miles. Most guys are running Eflite Series Six motors on them. No other significant changes. We see speeds in the high 80s with our radar gun. We have a blast with them!
