new Radio and Trailer light kit arrived today, also received some shocking news, all Tamiya spray paint (just in the UK i presume) has been recalled, its expected to be available again next year! Tamiya aren't saying exactly what the problem is, but i'm guessing its pretty serious, what about the people that already bought their paint products? ive seen no advertisements stating not to use it etc..

From a different site - straight from a Tamiya employee (or insider):

Due to the rash of Lead and toxic issues in the news the government was cracking down on labeling. For things like content, size, languages etc...

Again it's not a big issue as the paint is not changing it just has to be relabeled to sell it. We were able to get this done years ago and quickly so there was no backlash, most people in the USA did not even know. It seems the UK is having a bit more issues with it.

hopefully got the paint coming from Germany! didnt realise how much i needed though.. 1 x TS-29, 2 x TS-47, 1 x X-11, 1 x X-18, 1 x X-26, 1 x X-27, 1 x XF-53!!

had no choice really, UK spray cans wont be back till 2009! note the clear red/clear orange for the brake lights/indicators.

i am undecided on chrome yellow or normal yellow, will have to do a test spray.

Post the results of your test spray since I can't see a difference between the 2 yellows based on the cap

In fact, I too find it hard to get Tamiya bottle paints here or maybe I didn't find hard enough. I seem to only see Tamiya Spray Paints more than their bottle paints.
