Well I retired my Morris the Knife after hundreds of flights and loads of fun and learning. I want to replace it with another profile and think the Mojo 40 is the way to go. I have my trusty Saito 72 to go on the nose[8D] Question is are there any other profiles out there I should consider and what are they. I've done some searches but they are dated. Any and all suggestions appreciated. Pete

If your gonna fly a profile, you gotta have a Mojo 40. There are other great choices out there, but the Mojo 40 is where it all begins for me.

hi which one do you think is the best profile out there, the mojo or the omp edge? thanks sorry i forgot about the texas hobbies slide 48, morris the knnife, and also swanys primo....if any others please tell me

I had a Morris the Knife ARF and it was a great plane dispite being heavy. The ARF's come in about a half pound or more heavier than the kit. The Saito 72 was the perfect engine for it. Read a lot on the OMP edge and other profiles in the 40 size. The Mojo has been out awhile and still seems to have a very loyal following. Not sure when Paul will get another shipment of the ARF version looks like I'm going to order the kit with the option of removing the wings. Pete

i am not an expert builder, and i have just assembled a fun 51 and a delta wing so i need something easy to build? what do you know about the assembly of the mojo? is it hard or not many skills required? i have the same question about the O2

The Mojo is a very easy build. If you've done any other kit, you can build the Mojo. I built my Mojo .40 in three days. Just open the box, pour in some CA and shake. The 02-55 will be a laser cut short kit. Balsa sheeted foam core fuse. I have a kit ordered, and I'll take some pictures when it arrives. I did not build the 02-55 I own, it was one of the prototypes. Paul Swanson built part of this plane, maybe he can chime in with how the build was.

do you think an 55ax will have enough power for a mojo? i ask this question because the altitude where i fly is about 21000 feet so....my lanier radical doesnt have much power left to pull out of a hover thanks

21000 ft? Good Lord! You live on top of a mountain with Sherpas? [:D] The .55AX is incredible power for the Mojo. It is a pretty light building plane. Of course, on the top of Everest I'm not sure how well any normally asperated engine will run. The two fields where I fly are at 600' and 1100' MSL. I just checked out the cook islands and Google said the highest point was 2139 feet, so assuming a typo, if it's really 2100 feet, the .55AX should be fine.

here in colombia except for the costal area, all cities are built on top of mountains...jaja it wasnt 21000 it was 2100 meters...and it is not cook islands it is colombia...i dont know what went wrong with my rcu profile.

sorry for asking so much.....but are most of the modern profiles built as easy as i was told the mojo was built by lomcevak. when i say modern profiles i mean omp edge, primo, O2,and the slide 48?

How far from Atlanta are you in AL? I have a mojo 40 that I don't fly anymore that I could part with. It's been "loved" but is still in very good shape. Chris

Well I pulled the trigger and Paul is sending a Mojo 40 kit with the removable wing option. Hope to build her in a month or so. Will post a pic or two. Pete

I have been out of the RC circle for a couple years while I've been in college and doing full-size flying, and the mojo is bringing me back into it (and being located a mile away from a rc club field). I'm on a budget, so how will this mojo 40 fly with a basic magnum 46? I need enough power to pull out of a hover with authority. Remember I'm at sea level. I look forward to ordering the kit. Pete

Hey Pete, You'll love the Mojo. If you keep it light a .46 will pull out OK. My favorite prop for the .46 size engines is the APC 11.5 X 4, but guys have had good results from the APC 12X4 and 12.25X3.75 and the Xoar 12X4. A Webra 50 or an OS 50 FSR or SX to the new 55AX would be great choices, but more $$ than the .46 size engines. Most guys running .46's run a Mousse Can Muffler hooked up to a MAC's header to give a boost without loosing mid range throttle response - in fact it even makes transition better.
