A123 Battery for ignition system

Guys,

I was wonder if I can put a A123 1100MAH 6.6V on my ignition system of TOC53 MM engine? Did all you think if a good choice?

Thanks

Bruno S.

RE: A123 Battery for ignition system

If the ignition is an RcExcel, v. 2.0, their instructions caution against "greater than 6v at high revolutions", meaning above 9000rpm. I have three of them running on un-regulated A123 2S batteries with no issues whatsoever. See my web page for more info.
Always good to check with the place you bought the engine first, however, because ultimately their "warranty" is what THEY say it is, regardless of the sub-OEM vendors/suppliers of parts.
