So, I called all the authorized hangar 9 stores in the Denver area, and not a single one has the expansion pack available.

A few of the stores commented that the Hangar 9 product is just not popular enough and the expansion pack was too small, thus nobody wanted it

Too bad, I would have bought it if It was down loadable or if it was available locally.

Do they not take special orders? That's how I got my copy.

It has some nice planes in it... Brio, ShowTime, Cub 40, etc.

Yeah, special ordering from LHS works excellently. The smart LHSs love to do it too. No stocking, no retail shelf wasted, no question that product will sell, no real downsides.

You will also save the cost of shipping, and the hassle with damaged in shipping problems.

Special ordering from the LHS is a win,win deal. You win. The LHS wins. And you benefit also from having TWO excuses to go by the hobby shop!!!! What could be any better????

The expansion pack is a waste of $30. I bought it for the T-Rex 450, but the T-Rex in the expansion pack is so poorly designed I never used it.

I wish I had bought anything other than FS-One, money down the drain at this point - no support.

It might be a waste if you bought it for heli's, but the planes are good imo.

malcolmm, have you tried editing the mixing on the trex? I agree that set up as default, the trex is too eratic to fly. But what I did was assign the Voyager 50 TX profile to the TRex (that effectively assigns all the mix settings of the V50 to the TRex... there are other ways to do that too). As a finishing touch, under the "normal" flight mode, I changed pitch/role expos to 60%, yaw expo to 55% and throttle expo to 20%.

I think it's the pitch and throttle curves from the Voyager TX set-up that make it fly much better, but the expos contribute too.

I don't know if you can call it "fixed" or if it's anything like the trex, but now I like flying the TRex as much as the Voyager 50 in FSOne. It's still more nimble than the V50...

I happened to notice just now that Atlanta Hobby has it in stock (they ship in 24-48 h)... so no need to wait longer on a special order to come in.

Thanks for the info, I will give this a try.

Maybe I expect too much, but I don't think this sort of thing should be necessary. I paid $30 (CDN) for the expansion pack, and it doesn't contain many new models. I expected that each model would be finely tuned.

I'm also wondering what has happened to the new patch that was suppose to be in beta testing months ago. I've got over $400 tied up in FS One (I bought a second copy for a friend), the support is really poor. I would guess that FS One isn't selling well compared to G4, but that is no reason for Hanger 9 to virtually abandon current customers.
