Ok, according to this:
http://videoserver.rcuniverse.com/rcuvideos/magazine/reviews/994/eflite3.wmv
a direct drive tail set up should work great. I would like to know who has a direct drive set up with a HH gyro and if it works as good as advertised. How does it do inverted?

Secondly, does a brushless DD tail work just as well? How about a complete brushless main and tail setup with a HH gyro? Anyone? Beuler, Beuler...

I could not get vid to show.

Works great for me.

PL, I will say that a BL motor on the main makes a BIG difference in overall power & collective pitch response! [:D]
I'd imagine it would do the same as a DD set-up on the tail (especially since the new AXE CP V3 has one, along with the BH head & adjustable pitch on the TX). You've been combating changing your tail set-up now for months, what's the hold-up?! You can only INCREASE your performance & flight time from here! Buy the parts NOW, give your wife some flowers later.

Better to ask your wife for forgiveness, than permission!

The hold up is- I've been with this helimax thread since the beginning, and I haven't seen anyone do a brushless tail set up with the Axe and be successful. Now, I've found, recently, some have gone BL and HH gyro on a Blade CPPro. I just don't want to dump a $100 on a BL motor, ESC, HH gyro and find it doesn't work. That, and the fact that I want to go inverted with the stock setup, just to prove it can do it. I've also got two main motors and two tail motors waiting in the parts bin. Once I trash them, I'll upgrade.

Went to HorizonHobby.com website and found a vid of the Blade CPP2 and the tail holds great. Check it out.
