Great,,,,,,,Keep use informed.I also believe that the add-on syncro spark by CH will work with this unit.It connects between the pick-up and the hall sensor,Set the timing to around TDC then the SP will automatically advance it during running.

I can buy into the theory that no matter what you do, that ignition is gonna have trouble performing in the higher RPM ranges....

Seems like it should work to 6000 or 7000 RPM. The use of a high pitch prop may help in some case. Don,t know!!! Capt.n

I just spoke with Marlowe on the phone to tell him he had the wrong phone number on his web site.I got the correct number from switchboard.com.He told me that he did'nt have any units ready for sale because he was having problems with his supplier for the printed boards. He's going to call them tomarrow and see if he can get the ball rolling.I will post what I find out from Marlowe. So to answer my own question,This is legit.

Bill and TKG have tested all the competition systems and have run more engines than all the rest of us put together...They KNOW what works and what it takes to manufacture ignitions and make a fair profit....When my ignitions mysteriously started failing I went with C&H, same lifetime guarantee as mine...Try that on your brand X systems....
And $40 Chinese ignitions...
You get what you pay for................

Have fun with the S/S unit. The comment trying to be made was that, from Marlowe for $70 you get a tested cdi board with a timing control built in NOT a complete ignition. To the $70 you have to add a coil, plug lead, plug cap, and a box. The savings if any is in your labor vs my labor, the parts are about the same.

I would have went with a Marlowe unit but, unfortunatly he is having supplier problems. As for the jerry howel kit.Iv heard that there is a strong strain on a battery with those units.Having any dwell over 35 degrees seems to not work so good.I decided to go with S&S because of talk at local hobby shop says that they are well built and obviously look nice too.

Hellow there! i built my self an CDI ingnition from information purcesed from the internet ( http://home.online.no/~jon-mj/cdi_ignition.htm ) thank's to jmj, and it came out preatty light it has obout 100 grames, with a little extra work it can get a lighter , i bult it that light beacuse i intend to convert an .46 (7.5cc) engine for my 70" j3 cub, and the problem is, i don't konw what advance curve to ouse for an angine that small, the programe it must to be modified as well because this engine is running at 18000rpm at full power (i dont know ho to do that), and the real problem is the spark plug, that liittle one kind ( i seen some where on web they are like glow plugs) because i'm frome Romania (Europe) and we dont have that kind of stuff here, and a big one like 10 mm thread head or 14 mm i think is to big and for that, then cilinder head must be modified, sow frome where can i purchase those
if you can help me and give me some sugestions. thak's (excuse if my eanglish is bad)
