Ok guys this may be a dumb question, but im gonna ask anyway. I have an ofna chrome top starter box with a 12v gel cell battery in it and what I am wondering is can I use a battery charger designed for an automobile battery to charge it? The charger im thinking of using is more of a trickle charger than all out charger, would this work or do I need a charger specific for the startbox battery?

I've used the super brain 977 and sometimes I'll use a battery tender to charge it and keep it there.

ive used a car battery charger with no problems, i use the lowest amp setting, and only leave it on for a couple of hours... ive also used my triton jr using a wall adapter and it works fine.... i find a car charger more convenient
